Founder and General Dentist

Dr. Gregg Barry

I graduated from UCC in 2008 with an honours degree and the W&H award for operative dentistry. Following that, I made the move to Dublin and spent the formative years working in private dentistry developing a love for the areas of aesthetic and restorative dentistry. This naturally combined with a love of technology and an ambition to grow, so in 2013, myself and my friend Dr. Daniel Collins, opened our clinic – Docklands Dental.

We knew we wanted to create a team around the patient experience and provide next generation care for our patients. We have invested in the best training, the best equipment and have the best people so it has been an amazing journey over the last few years.

I have a constant need to keep learning and I measure the standards of our care against the best in the world. I have been lucky to travel all around the world to work with international leaders in dentistry. I am a Key Opinion Leader nationally for Dentsply Sirona, an accredited international trainer from the Association of Digital Dental Academies and have undertaken the first accredited Diploma in Digital Dentistry from the International Digital Dental Academy.

When the above is not consuming most of the hours in my week, I’m lucky to spend time with my family, having fun in the sea or regretting going to the gym.

Founder and General Dentist

Dr. Daniel Collins

I am a native Dub and have been practicing in Dublin since I first qualified in 2007. After working in general practice for 5 years and feeling there was a gap in the market for a new approach to modern dentistry, I approached my best friend Gregg about an idea I had to open a private general dentally clinic in the heart of Dublin’s thriving Docklands area. On January 13th 2013, Docklands Dental was born and it has always been our aim to excel in patient-centered care with cutting edge technology at it’s core.

I graduated from UCC in 2007. Although I was not too delighted with going to Cork for college I am always mindful that it is where I received my degree, met my wife Marie and business partner Gregg.

Upon graduation I started studying with the much revered Dr. Paul Tipton to enhance my dental skill set over 2 years. In deciding to setup a private dental clinic I returned to education in Trinity college for a diploma in conscious sedation to allow me to treat nervous and anxious patients in a modern dental setting.

Over the years since the clinic has been established I have always tried to enhance my patients’ experience with the latest technology in a comfortable setting. I have become a key opinion leader (KOL) for Dentsply Sirona as well as an accredited trainer from the association of digital dental academies and spend the vast majority of my time in practice using digital technology to improve my patients clinical outcomes.

Outside clinical work, I spend the rest of my time with my wife and two children, play as much golf as I can (#obsessed) and enjoy training in the gym early in the morning during the week to kick start my day.

PATIENT REVIEW

I’ve had my fair share of bad experiences with dentists in the past which led to me avoiding dentists. After someone had recommended me the Docklands Dental clinic I decided to give it a chance. I can only say that I’ve always felt that I’ve been treated with respect and met with understanding when I talked about my previous experiences. Dr Daniel was the main dentist to look after the work that had to be done for me but all the staff have been super friendly.
